Veterans Day

2021-12-31T14:25:56-05:00October 28th, 2017|Community, News|

Back on the Road 2017 C&A is selecting two veterans living in the Eldersburg/Sykesville area who could use a little extra help getting or keeping their vehicle going. Whether its for travel to work, finding work or transporting their family around—we're looking to get them back on the road. The selected veterans will each receive up to $2,500 of auto repair or maintenance services at no charge. All work will be done to our high standards with our full 24 month/24,000 mile warranty—they will just see an amount due of zero. We will not advertise their names and everything can be submitted anonymously if you prefer. We may broadly announce what work was done but not who it was for or any identifying images of the vehicles. Selections will be made Veterans Day, Friday, November 10th, 2017. We can begin work as soon as it convenient for the nominee.

Freedom District Lions Club Golf Tournament

2020-11-04T14:36:26-05:00October 15th, 2017|Community|

The Freedom District Lions Club golf tournament was held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Oakmont Green Golf Course in Hampstead. We were proud to sponsor a hole. For over 70 years, the members of the Freedom District Lions Club have been committed to helping those in need in the Sykesville / Eldersburg community, our state and the world at large. Donations help to support club service projects such as: providing free vision testing of preschool age children in the local community, loaning hospital beds and other medical assistance equipment to those in need, funding research of programs to solve vision and diabetes related health problems suffered by so many of our fellow citizens, awarding college scholarships, and supporting youth programs in our community. This year, like other Lions clubs throughout the world, the Freedom District Lions Club is adding the fight to cure pediatric cancer to its service goals.
