C&A is a proud sponsor of Century High School Opening Knights Drama Club's Winter Honors Theatre production of The Secret Garden at Century High School. This enchanting classic of children's literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of 'Night Mother. Orphaned in India, 11 year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the "Dreamers", spirits from Mary's past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal. 2022-01-02T15:03:49-05:00November 8th, 2018|News|

Great article today by Jennifer Turiano for the Carroll County Times about our $2,500 veterans giveaway for 2018. Nominations are open through Saturday night. “There was one fella [last year], and I don't want to give too much detail but he served and retired and he's part of the local volunteer fire department. He volunteers at the high school in the area, and right before we did this his wife had a stroke and was in a rehab facility,” Langmeade said. “He was driving — he didn’t have to, he wanted to — he was driving down there every single day to visit her, and his only vehicle needed a lot of work. He explained to me, ‘I want to be there for her when she wakes up every morning,’ and the vehicle just wasn’t reliable enough. It needed tires, brakes and exhaust.” After the work was completed, Langmeade

C&A is proud to sponsor Liberty High School's USO Club this year. The USO Club holds a celebration breakfast on Veteran's Day and invites members of the community who served int he military or who are currently serving to join them to commemorate their sacrifices and honor them for their dedication to our country. They lay wreaths at Crest Lawn Cemetery in December to honor fallen comrades in coordination with Wreaths Across America. They participate in Operation Welcome Home which allows us to thank servicemen and women when they return home from overseas at BWI Airport. They also are putting together care packages in conjunction with Operation Gratitude for those servicing overseas to help them know that we are thinking about them and appreciate their work. We love the work these local students are doing and they set a great example for all of us!
